So, here's what you do:
Ingredients:
whole wheat noodles (one serving)
two cups vegetable broth
1/4 cup onion, cut into rings or slivers
1 or 2 nickel-sized ginger slices
1/4 lbs. raw shrimp, peeled
one hard boiled egg
optional: ketchup / catsup
1. Cook noodles til desired consistency; remove from water, rinse in cold water, place in a big serving bowl.
2. Heat vegetable broth in a saucepan, and add onion and ginger. Bring to a boil.
3. Add peeled shrimp, and allow broth to cook until the shrimp turn white-ish pink.
4. Pour saucepan contents into bowl of noodles.
5. Slice the egg, and strategically place on the surface of bowl.
In my experiences, 74 percent of people I've encountered prefer dollups of ketchup added to the soup before eating.
